I'm SO sick of all these bootlegs going around. The sound is fine on them but people are being RIPPED OFF BAD!! This must be put to a stop somehow. I know members in the band and I won't hesitate to flag everyone raping people for money!! I WILL report all of this back to the record labels and management. I'm sorry. I'm tired of people getting burned!
MeGa_NunC
And unfortunately it's not illegal to resell a product it's the old cavieot emptor buyer beware ( i got that from the Brady bunch ), the label will says this . Wow people are paying 50 for this boot let's repackage the same thing tell the band we sold 5k copies even though they sold 75k not pay and then sue the band when there accountant checks the numbers . You can't really flag people for selling a record on a site that's made to sell records. and take a percentage .discogs looks at people who sell by percentage of happy customers . So you would have to buy a record for alot then give the person .A BAD REVIEW .
Rgia
i got this with the A & B side in blue vinyl and C & D in green vinyl
Blackstalker
how does it sound??
CrazyDemon
how does it sound??

Double vinyl reissue is finally getting released in December, at last!!
Trash Obsession
Anyone know what the difference is with this and the other black vinyl official release: https://www.discogs.com/Queens-Of-The-Stone-Age-Songs-For-The-Deaf/release/3845829

freakenfurter There's no difference at all.People should check for existing releases prior before submitting duplicates !The releases have been merged though. Not true. Different printed barcodes on jackets which make them unique submissions:- Songs For The Deaf printed barcode: 6 06949 34751 2- Songs For The Deaf printed barcode: 6 06949 34351 4

Captain America
Amazing sound on this version. The boots can't touch it. This album has always been near and dear to me, and this might be my favorite thing in my whole collection. Top 5 for sure.
Uris
Anyone have one to sell?
Vivados
I'm confused - is this an official release or a bootleg?? I've seen people listing it as a recent repress, but I can't find a legitimate source to confirm this.
Tujar
Absolutely untrue. I guarantee that, as an owner of this exact same version for over 10 years. This is the original Euro-pressing, with different artwork, printed inner sleeves, and bonus tracks. Sticker on the front cover is an actual sticker, while the recent bootleg version has it printed on the cover. The bootleg is also missing the printed sleeves, it comes with plain black ones. And, unlike you stated, this version of the original DOES have a sticker on the barcode, the bootleg doesn't.
Kizshura
This is an official UK pressing. I owned it for over 10 years. It's been recently bootlegged. The easiest way to tell the original from the boot is by looking at the yellow sticker on the front: in the case of the original, it's a sticker. The bootleg has it printed on.
net rider
Matrix / Runout (Hand-etched Runout Side D): 6069-493-476-1-B1 SOUNDMASTERS , with stickers on barcode = is a official release ! No one has NEVER seen a bootleg issue with long etchings ! this sticker issue was sold in official record stores mostly in UK
I'm a Russian Occupant
I have no official source, but i also heard that the barcode sticker indicates a bootleg. No problems with the quality, just not the original.
Innadril
Songs For The Deaf hasn't been repressed recently, so anyone listing it as such is most likely trying to sell you a bootleg
Gaiauaco
I have an official release of Rated X wich sounds much, much worse, this bootleg sounds great.
NiceOne
Picked this up in a dodgy record store and I am not disappointed.
INvait
Even if it is a bootleg, it sounds really great!
Andromajurus
I bought a similar bootleg a few years ago and it sounds great, only difference is both discs are blue (translucent). Anyone else has that color? The artwork/cardboard/sleeves are not top quality but no disgrace either.
Jeb
I've got this in double translucent blue, got excited when I realised how much the official one was! Didn't realise this was a bootleg which is a bit of a pain....
Ustamya
I also got two blue translucent discs when I bought this bootleg in a record shop a few years ago. Though I didn't know it was a counterfeit at the time, as it was one of the very first LPs to enter my collection, I'm not unhappy with that one. It's definitely one of my favourite albums, but I think i would be tempted by a reissue if it ever gets one.
Qumen
I just got one with the blue translucent as well, everything else seems to match.
Inerrace
Great bootleg. Collectors item indeed.
Cozius
The LP's sound less harsh than its CD counterpart. Other than light surface noise throughout, even after cleaning, I find it to be much more ''crankable'' than the CD. The quality of the printed/sleeve leaves much to be desired. Flimsy cardboard, that easily creases in transport, and blurry printing inside gatefold. However, it's still the cheapest way to own this fantastic album. Recommended unless you have 200$ more to put on an original.
Legend 33
Just picked up what I believe s this particular release, and I have never heard the original pressing. If there is a significant difference between the two, it must be otherworldly. This boot is fantastic.
Bu
Yes, this sounds fantastic! Very full sound, a lot of dynamics. I can't imagine any other version sounding better than this!
Mallador
I don't know how the original pressing could sound any better than this. Amazing.
Skrimpak
Easily. The original has been master from the original tapes, full dynamic range. This isn't. Therefore, there's quite a big chance that this boot does not sound as good as the original.
