If the recording date was 1971 this would be a masterpiece of the more haphazard breed of folk-psychedelia. It might involve an anarchist theatre troupe of Argentinian hippies. There'd be a limited edition private press LP on your wants list. With a recording date of 2003 this is just wilfully perverse.

Group singing that sounds like a party, sudden tempo shifts, home-made percussion, skeletal arrangements with unusual instrumentation, mainly acoustic, (at one point someone is "playing" balloons), an overall "concept" ... all that's here. This isn't improvised, there's a few killer melodies in here, the playing is well proficient. So, by the same token, it isn't quite Amon Düül.

Particularly striking on first listen is the section of Tan Asustados where a female backing vocalist has some sort of a tantrum of wordless, tuneless shrieks over fingerpicked guitar and cello drone accompaniment. It could be a bossa-nova Bene Gesserit.
