Info

The Dissent of Man is the fifteenth album by the Californian punk rock band Bad Religion, which was released on September 28, 2010. It was their first album in three years, following the release of New Maps of Hell in 2007. The band commenced writing new material in 2008, but would not begin studio work until May 2010. The writing and recording process spanned two years and was slowed down considerably by touring schedules. The album was finally finished in June 2010. Some of the material The Resist. Bad Religion : The Dissent of Man,альбом, рецезия, трек-лист, mp3, тексты песен. With The Dissent Of Man, Bad Religion are clearly leaving their speedy past and comfort levels on the backburner and forging ahead with a mature and modern punk rock outlook, fusing many more styles of rock successfully into their bag of tricks. The band could have made a quickie follow-up to New Maps Of Hell but went in a completely different, riskier direction that paid off on a bigger scale creatively. To stay in the past is to allow yourself to be ruled by it Bad Religion are looking to their bright future and the possibility it brings. Bad Religion A. Bad Religion. The Dissent of Man. On Bad Religion's 15th album in 30 years, the stage opens with a sentimental but roused Greg Graffin reminiscing, Do you remember when we were youngAdventure had no endThose were the days, my friend, to recall the melodic blast of their early years. Still, even die-hard fans recognize the lack of trajectory for the band the first album ruled, and if you like the mid-career songs, the late songs are pretty much the same. The Dissent of Man follows a post-millennial streak of back to their heyday stormers, and while the opening volley of fast-paced punkers looks set to continue this trend its not long before both the pace and the quality begin to falter. Tracks like Wont Somebody adopt the mid-paced jangle of similarly-longstanding peers Social Distortion while Cyanide tosses in some hokey slide guitar and Where the Fun Is languishes in plain ol cheesy rock territory. Recently, Bad Religion have been on a three-year release cycle. If that continues, The Dissent of Man will be their last album before the world supposedly ends in 2012. Although I'd put money on Graffin scoffing at that circle of apocalypto pamphlet-wavers, he's making music like he too senses time is running out. A younger, angrier sibling to The Dissent of Man in eight months wouldn't be unwelcome. With talking heads deafening the discourse, we need Bad Religion more than ever. That optimism is The Dissent of Man's greatest thematic asset. Despite its title, and disregarding the fucking drag of living in 2010 America, the sun will still rise tomorrow. Bad Religion 's production sounds modern, but doesn't betray the intensity of this album. If one thought that in the aftermath of the George W. Bush Presidency that Gurewitz , Baker , and Hetson wouldn't record jagged, cutting guitar chords and solos, or that Bentley and Wackerman couldn't provide the necessary speed for the rest of the guys, one could not be more wrong. Only Rain , the second song on The Dissent of Man begins with an aptly vibrato filled lick that should be acknowledged by musicians everywhere as the manner in which punk rock bandsso often derided for their inchoate and amateur musicianshipshould go about in recording music. With its warm production and perfect pacing The Dissent Of Man is a fitting way to celebrate this band's 30th birthday, and their continued, even elevated, relevance
